Next NSHBDA monthly meeting Tuesday Oct. 15, 2013

Our regular monthly meeting will be taking place this Tuesday, October 15th.  The evening’s session entitled “Introduction to Site Assessment” is presented by John Hattie of Atlantic Home Designs Limited and Don Roscoe, Solar Designer.  They will be introducing attendees to preliminary design concepts as well as survey equipment and techniques, all of which attendees will use in the upcoming “Site Assessment Workshop Weekend”, scheduled for Saturday, October 19th and Sunday October 20th in the metro Halifax area.  If you plan to attend the workshop weekend, you must attend Tuesday’s evening session.

 

Participants in the workshop weekend must sign up before the end of the monthly meeting (Tuesday, October 15th).  Course fee is $20 for students, designer and corporate members, $50 for non-members.  Fees need to be paid either in advance, via our website payment system (details to follow) or with cash at the meeting on Tuesday.

 

Transportation to/from the building sites will be coordinated once we know how many will be participating.

 

The monthly information session will take place in Room 5424 at NSCC Waterfront or via video link to NSCC Lunenburg. The session will start at 6:15pm.

 

 

Prior to the monthly meeting, the Education Committee will meet at 2:00pm in Room 5325, with the Executive meeting following at 3:00pm.

 

All are welcome to join us for supper at Pilot’s Pub at 5:00pm (10 Atlantic Street, Dartmouth, NS).
