November Training Session
NSHBDA’s regular monthly meeting is next Tuesday (November 15) at 6:00pm in room 5424 at NSCC Waterfront (or by videolink to NSCC Lunenburg). The evening’s presentation is titled “DRAWING REVIEW SESSION” and will be an interactive discussion on some of our members’ drawings. Site Assessment Workshop Weekend – Oct 22 & 23

October Training Session – Steel Framing and Workshop Weekend

Fall Ideal Home Show

September Training
Tuesday, September 20 will be the first regular monthly meeting for the 2011-2012 membership year. Our education committee has asked Jordan MacDonald of ThermalWise to prepare a presentation on LEED for Homes and the HOT 2000 energy analysis software package (used in Energuide evaluations). The next meeting of the NSHBDA will be the Annual General Meeting on Thursday June 16, at Saraguay House – 360 Purcells Cove Rd, Halifax (MAP). The evening starts at 4:30pm with a social reception until 5:30, when the dinner and corporate presentations begin. 2011 Design Competition – Rules & Regulations
The Home & Building Designers Association is holding its fifth annual design competition among its members, to find the best designed homes and small buildings in the province. The winning homes and building will be featured in the Fall Ideal Home Show, “NSHBDA Design Competition Gallery” and other media related outlets. Design Competition Reminder
The deadline for all entries will be Monday, June 6 2011. Submissions can be dropped off on June 6 @ NSCC Waterfront campus in Dartmouth (MAP), between 12 noon and 1:30 pm. Meet John Hattie at the entry to the cafeteria. Please make sure that entry release forms are completed and submitted along with all required digital files for your submission.
