February meeting tonight!

The February meeting of NSHBDA is taking place tonight, in room 5424 at NSCC Waterfront campus, and by video-link to NSCC Lunenburg campus. Tonight’s presentation is on Exterior Plumbing Design, and is being presented by Steve Williams of Mac Williams Engineering.  This is a mandatory course for our first level of certification. Announcement of 2012 NSHBDA Design Competition

2012 Design Competition The Nova Scotia Home & Building Designers Association is holding its sixth annual design competition among its members, to find the best designed homes and small buildings in the province. The winning homes and building will be featured in the Fall Ideal Home Show, “NSHBDA Design Competition Gallery”, along with all other submitted designs. NSPI Building Tour

NSHBDA has organized an interactive tour of the new NSPI headquarters on Lower Water Street in Halifax.  The tour is scheduled for 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 29th.  The tour is free, and all are welcome to join in.  Please reply and let us know if you are interested in attending this tour – we need to confirm our numbers by the end of the day on Friday, February 17. January Monthly Meeting

NSHBDA’s next regular monthly meeting is Tuesday, January 17 at 6:00pm in room 5424 at NSCC Waterfront (or by video-link to NSCC Lunenburg). Christmas Social Next Tuesday

Our annual Christmas Social will take place this coming Tuesday (December 13) in room 5329 at NSCC Waterfront. This social gathering will start at 5:30pm and will run until 8:00pm.  We invite all of our student, designer and corporate members to join us for sandwiches, light snacks, assorted desserts and beverages in a relaxed, social setting. Advanced Structural Design Course

Please note that the ADVANCED STRUCTURAL DESIGN COURSE is scheduled for NOVEMBER 19 & 20 from 9AM to 4:30 PM at the WATERFRONT CAMPUS (room TBD). Site Assessment Workshop Weekend – Oct 22 & 23
